High performance elastomers engineered for demanding applications
Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies (FOGT) continues its leadership position in elastomer materials technology with the introduction of our proprietary Gazguard® HNBR775 material. This material has been designed for use in Blow Out Preventer (BOP) seals and has been certified under API 16A 4th Edition testing for temperatures up to 350°F. The Gazguard® HNBR775 elastomer also shows superior performance against Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD), achieving a perfect test score of all zeros, and resistance to 10% H2S chemical attack. Testing was performed at FOGT’s ISO 17025 certified Product Development and Testing facility to Norsok M-710 RGD, Norsok M-710 sour gas, ISO 10423 (API 6A) chemical aging immersion and fixture testing and ISO 10423 F.1.11 pressure and thermal cycling testing standards.
The Gazguard® HNBR775 material is used within FOGT’s BOP ram style seal portfolio tested and certified to 16A 4th Edition requirements.
