Houston, Texas, August 30, 2012 - Freudenberg Oil & Gas announced that it has acquired Scott-Matrix Ltd., a Newcastle, UK based manufacturer of elastomeric sealing solutions for the oil and gas industry. Scott-Matrix is known for its custom manufacturing service for a wide range of products for the upstream oil and gas segment.

This acquisition compliments the company's core competencies of Materials Science, Process Control and Manufacturing Excellence.

Under the agreement signed today, Scott-Matrix founder David Scott and the current staff will remain with the company.
