HOUSTON – Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies (FOGT) does more than develop leading edge sealing solutions and products for the upstream oil and gas market. Recently, Freudenberg was honored by Making It Better, a non-profit organization, during its fifth annual meeting in recognition of FOGT’s long-term commitment to paving the way for a more successful future for underprivileged children.
Making It Better is a Houston-born group dedicated to creating better opportunities for young people by providing programs and comprehensive education to promote literacy, leadership and life skills. Since 2016, employees from FOGT have supported the organization by volunteering their time, and Freudenberg & Company, through its e2 program, has donated more than $85,000 USD over a three-year period to support Making It Better’s after school programs and educational events. In recognition of FOGT’s dedication to Making It Better, Richard Schmidt, President and CEO of FOGT, was invited to speak about Freudenberg’s history and the company’s commitment to educational and environmental projects in communities where we work.
“We are happy to support our young people in Houston in cooperation with Making It Better,” Schmidt said. “I am proud and thankful that our team is so involved in helping children to grow their knowledge and skills through these programs. With leadership as one of our guiding principles, we at Freudenberg look forward to continuing our relationship with Making It Better by devoting our time and resources to the people who will one day lead the communities in which we work.”
